1. When should I use MyID to access OASIS and when should I use my UGA ID and PIN?

Whenever possible you should use MyID to access OASIS.  However, some users wishing to access OASIS may not have a MyID.

For example, incoming freshman who have not attended an orientation session may not yet have a MyID, or alumni may no longer have a MyID.  In these situations, you may still logon to OASIS using your UGA ID and PIN.

2. What is MyID?

MyID is the sign-on name that students, faculty, and staff use to access a wide range of online services at UGA.

Note that your MyID is your UGA email sign-on name and not your 810 number.

Visit the UGA MyID web page for additional information about MyID and to request a MyID if you do not already have one.

5. What is my UGA ID and PIN?

Your UGA ID for OASIS is part of the 16-digit identification number located on the back of your UGACard. This number begins with 810 and is only 9 digits long. Note, do not enter in the first 6 numbers of the 16-digit identification number which identifies that you are affiliated with UGA or the very last number which is the issue level. Your PIN is a 3 to 6 digit number you select to provide security for accessing OASIS..

If you have forgotten your PIN, you can attempt to answer the PIN secret question to gain access to OASIS. To access the secret question, begin by entering in your UGA ID and clicking on the OASIS icon. OASIS will download. Then type your UGA ID and place an X in the box beside “Forgot your PIN?”. Click on the GO button and the screen will refresh. You will then be asked for your UGA ID (for UGA ID you will need to enter your UGA number that begins with 810) and birthday. After you have entered these, click the GO button and the screen will refresh. You will then be asked to answer the secret question that you created. If you can answer the question you will be shown your PIN and asked if you wish to change it. Click Return or proceed on the left to enter OASIS.

10. What do I do if my PIN/Access is disabled?

If access has been disabled to OASIS you will need to have your PIN reset.  A PIN can only be reset by the Office of the Registrar.  There are three ways to have your PIN reset: in-person by visiting the Office of the Registrar, by fax, or by sending an email from your UGA email address.

To reset your PIN in-person visit the Office of the Registrar at 105 Holmes/Hunter Academic Building next to the Arch on North Campus during regular business hours (8AM to 5PM).  Please bring your driver’s license or UGACard.

Via fax send a signed request to the Office of the Registrar at 706-583-8162.  With your signed request please include a copy of your driver’s license or UGACard and phone number.

If a student cannot come to the Registrar's Office in person or send a fax, they may send the Office of the Registrar a request to reset their PIN from their UGA email account. The e-mail needs to be sent to reghelp@uga.edu. If the email was not sent from your UGA email address, the request will not be processed. Once your PIN is reset, a confirmation email will be sent.
